Watson Land Company does more than build buildings. We build a better world.
Whether participating in the fight against cancer or helping support our local libraries, our vision is to make the world a better place to live.
One of our highest commitments is to environmental sustainability. We protect our earth’s vital resources. Making our planet clean is at our core.
So we don’t just serve our customers, we serve everyone.
How does Watson achieve its vision? One way is through LEED certification. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the nation’s most widely used third-party verification system for producing green buildings. Following the strictest industry standards, LEED buildings are planned, constructed, maintained, and operated with the goal of environmental sustainability.
And because LEED-certified buildings are resource efficient, they use less water and energy. They also reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Consider our Legacy Series buildings. From the ground up, every possible measure to save energy and reduce pollution was implemented. Sustainable design features were central. In the end, the finished product was a building not merely good for a local business, but a building good for the planet.
Watson’s 19th and 20th LEED-certified buildings were recently recognized by Gaia Development. For the last decade, Gaia has been a (global) leader of “profitably through sustainability,” through innovative solutions to the development of high-efficiency buildings. Gaia’s integrated approach and LEED consultation empower organizations to pursue green building practices that are both profitable and sustainable. They service a wide range of clients and projects in their mission to create environmentally conscious building solutions.
At Watson Land Company, we’re proud to be leading the way in environmental sustainability for the commercial real estate industry.
And in the end, we’re most proud of doing our part to make the world a better place.
